SEN Learning Support Assistant – Woking, Surrey

Join our fantastic team as a SEN Learning Support Assistant near Woking, Surrey, and help create a positive and supportive learning environment for children aged 4-19.
Position Details:
- Location: Woking, Surrey
- Role: SEN Learning Support Assistant
- Hours: 09:00 - 15:15, Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)
- Salary: £84.05 - £90 per day (including 12.07% holiday pay)
- Contract: Long-Term / Temp to Perm
What You’ll Be Doing:
- You’ll be there to support learners aged 4-19 who have communication challenges, including Autism, helping them find their voice and develop in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Your role will involve supporting both their academic progress and emotional well-being, guiding them through their learning journey and helping them build confidence.
- Working closely with the school community, you’ll help create a culture where every learner feels valued, respected, and supported.
- As part of the team, you'll help ensure that all safeguarding practices are followed, keeping the students’ welfare at the heart of everything you do.
What We’re Looking For:
- You’ll need to have a genuine passion for working with young people who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Understanding and commitment to these learners is a must!
- There may be some personal care duties involved, so we’re looking for someone who’s comfortable providing that level of support.
- You’ll need to be eager to develop your skills further – we encourage all our staff to take part in ongoing professional development (CPD) to enhance their knowledge and expertise.
- A positive, can-do attitude is essential, along with the ability to inspire resilience and positivity in the students you support.
- You must be able to work full-time (5 days a week) and commute to Woking, Surrey.
