Job Description:

Are you an experienced Home Tutor looking for part-time work in and around Bar Hill, Cambridgeshire? We are seeking a dedicated tutor to support a primary-aged learner with Autism who is currently experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). The ideal candidate will have experience in working with Key Stage 1 or 2 students with special educational needs, including but not limited to Autism, ADHD, and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH).

Home Tutor Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of young learners.
  • Create a supportive and secure learning environment for students.
  • Provide tailored educational support based on individual needs.
  • Develop and follow a personalised learning plan for each student.
  • Track and report on student progress to relevant individuals.
  • Commute to learner’s location in Bar Hill, Cambridgeshire.
  • Collaborate with an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant.

Home Tutor Requirements:

  • Experience supporting Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 learners.
  • Recognized de-escalation training or willingness to undergo training.
  • Background in working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
  • Ideally, possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring experience.
  • Familiarity with Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) strategies.
  • Suitable for candidates who own and can drive their vehicle in Bar Hill, Cambridgeshire.
