About the Role
1:1 Teaching Assistant – Great Bookham, Surrey
Are you looking for a rewarding 1:1 position within a mainstream primary school, where you can provide dedicated support to students with Autism and additional learning needs? Position Details:
- Location: Great Bookham, Surrey
- Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
- Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)
- Salary: £13.80 - £15.80 per hour
- Contract: Contract/Temp
Key Responsibilities For A 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 support to a primary-aged learner, helping them access the curriculum.
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Offer academic and emotional support tailored to the learner’s needs.
- Encourage personal growth and confidence in a supportive setting.
What We’re Looking For In A 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- A passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Someone who values consistency and understands the importance of routine for young learners.
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient approach.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to commute to a rural location near Great Bookham, Surrey.
