1:1 SEN Support Assistant - Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire!

Position Details:

Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

Position: 1:1 Support Assistant

Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00-15:30
-
Salary: £80-£90/Day inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay

Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities as a 1:1 Support Assistant:

Organise engaging learning resources and activities.
-
Adapt lessons to meet students’ needs.
-
Provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
-
Assist with personal care when required.
-
Supervise pupils during educational visits and breaks.
-
Promote independence, teamwork, and positive behaviour.

Use ICT tools to enhance learning.

Collaborate with parents, teachers, and professionals.
Skills and Requirements:
-
Previous experience supporting students with special educational needs is highly desirable.

A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach to working with children.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and promoting the welfare of young people.

A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).

Must be able to commute to near Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
