SEMH Teaching Assistant – Enfield, North London!
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMH teaching assistant to join our team near Enfield, North London. In this role, you will provide tailored support to students with SEMH Needs, supporting them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will work closely with teachers and staff to implement personalised learning plans, foster a positive and inclusive environment, and encourage pupils to achieve their full potential. This role requires patience, compassion, and excellent teamwork skills.

Position Details:
- Location: Enfield, North London
- Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
- Hours: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:15 (Term-Time Only)
- Salary: £12 - £15/Hour, inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay
- Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities as an SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Student Support: Build caring and supportive relationships with students, creating an environment where they feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
- Promote Independence: Encourage students’ personal development and independence while maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
- Educational Activities: Assist in delivering high-quality, challenging, and tailored educational activities to help students achieve their potential.
- Classroom Assistance: Support the Class Teacher with day-to-day classroom operations and tasks.
- Adaptability: Respond flexibly to the school’s dynamic needs and perform various tasks as required.
- Holistic Development: Support the social, emotional, behavioural, cognitive, physical, and spiritual well-being of students.
SEMH Teaching Assistant Skills & Requirements:
- Education: Minimum Grade 4 (GCSE) or equivalent in Maths and English Language.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
- Previous experience supporting students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- Transportation: A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or reliable means of commuting to Enfield, North London
- Compliance: Applicants must have full-time right-to-work status in the UK.
