Position Details:

  • Location: Near Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

  • Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant

  • Hours: Monday - Friday (09:00 - 16:00)

  • Salary: £85-£90/day inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.

  • Contract: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities as a SEN Learning Support Assistant:

  • Build strong, caring relationships with students, creating a safe and engaging learning environment.

  • Encourage students’ personal growth and foster positive behaviour.

  • Support differentiated educational activities to help students achieve their potential.

  • Assist the teacher with daily classroom operations and tasks.

  • Respond flexibly to the dynamic needs of the school.

  • Support students’ cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being.

SEN Learning Support Assistant Skills & Requirements:

  • A strong academic foundation, with GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) preferred.

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.

  • Previous experience supporting SEN learners is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key.

  • Must have a reliable means of commuting to Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. A full UK driving licence is beneficial.

  • Full-time right to work status in the UK is essential.
